Our first genre research is horror. We chose horror because it is very similar to what we want in our film. Some camera angles, movements, and shots used in horror films are hand held camera shots, low angles, titled angles, close up, tracking or panning shot, and high angles. In these films, camera shots are used to show multiple different things. Camera shots establish a scene for the audience, shows when a character is being followed or watched, and builds up suspension for upcoming scenes. In horror films, lighting is very important for the atmosphere. The lighting controls how people feel while watching a movie. It produces tension by regulating how much of the surroundings and characters are revealed thanks to its dark atmosphere that is presented.
