The End!

Image
The end is here! It has been a long journey, but we pushed through it. From having partners who don’t pull their weight to having partners who all contribute. My team and I are very excited for everyone to see the film we worked so hard on. It may not be the best, but we have learned a lot along the way. We have learned so many things from each other as a group that we can take into our everyday lives to keep going on. Other than that, we hope that everyone likes this film. We put a lot of time an effort into this film and hope it was all worth it. Since this is the last project for the year, we hope to learn more things next year and improve on what we have learned. During this time, my team and I will be very stressed with upcoming tests coming up. Having this off of our plate will be a weight lifted off our shoulders. My team and I hope to study together for our next exam and pass it with flying colors. We hope to come back next year with all the information we need to put on an ev

Changes Made From Film Review

Image
In class, my team and I made changes to our film. Before we started this, we discussed what changes we thought should be made. Last week my team and I showed people who were not related to us our film. After they watched out film they gave us their opinion on how they liked it and what changes should be made. The group went around and discussed what changes they were told to make and we talked about which ones we could and couldn’t change. Many people said a problem was the sound and it certain parts the actor or actress was hard to hear. Damaine tried to enhance the volume as best as he could but the volume could not be fixed fully without filming everything again. Another problem brought to our attention was the editing. Some people said it looked a little choppy so we would have to fix that. Damaine fixed what he could while the team and I watched over his shoulder so we could see what he was doing. He also ended up cutting out some scenes that we deemed unnecessary and would not b

Film Review

Image
Today I did a film review. Well, not necessarily myself. I showed the film to one of my mom's coworkers at her job. I was not with him while he watched the film, and he wrote all of his notes on a notepad. The main thing he talked about was the sound. Since my team and I didn't wear mics while filming, some of the audio was very low. He said that he could still hear it but it would have been a better film if the audio was louder. He said many of the scenes were unnecessary and are just fillers where my team and I could have used film of us talking. He wrote down the exact thing that should be taken out and I will take that note back to my team. Some problems he also pointed out were about timing. He said that he could tell some scenes were initially longer but were edited and cut short. Some scenes are kind of choppy and should be deleted or edited properly. He also said that sometimes the lighting changed in the middle of the scenes since we were using natural lighting and the

Editing Again!

Image
We are editing again! Since we were unable to finish editing last class we had to do it over the weekend. Damaine had a concert and both Nicole and I had work so we had to communicate with each other a lot. Damaine was able to get his software up and working this time. Last time we had to cut editing short since his software was updating and there wasn't great signal in the classroom. I sent Damaine some scenes that were shot on my phone and he airdropped them to his computer. The first thing he did was crop any unneeded film that may have been caught in some of the scenes. For one scene in particular, we forgot to have Nicole talk in a scene while she was on the phone with DJ. Damaine was able to have Nicole record the same lines in his software and then have it play during the scene. This was genius and helped us to not have to go all the way back to Target. Once all the scenes were cut Damaine added some transitions that we had talked about prior. He also added some new ones an
