Changes Made From Film Review

 In class, my team and I made changes to our film. Before we started this, we discussed what changes we thought should be made. Last week my team and I showed people who were not related to us our film. After they watched out film they gave us their opinion on how they liked it and what changes should be made. The group went around and discussed what changes they were told to make and we talked about which ones we could and couldn’t change. Many people said a problem was the sound and it certain parts the actor or actress was hard to hear. Damaine tried to enhance the volume as best as he could but the volume could not be fixed fully without filming everything again. Another problem brought to our attention was the editing. Some people said it looked a little choppy so we would have to fix that. Damaine fixed what he could while the team and I watched over his shoulder so we could see what he was doing. He also ended up cutting out some scenes that we deemed unnecessary and would not be of any use to us. We did this to not only help shorten the time but also make it seem more like a title sequence rather than just a full movie. After watching the film again before making any changes we watched another title sequence to make sure we had all the right things included. We had everything we needed but Damaine added some different transitions in it to make it seem like flashes. He asked if we liked the changes and we all agreed. We were very happy with the outcome and feel as if it is the best we could have made it. We now know for the future what we should do and what we could do better. We are very excited to see how everyone likes it.


From now we are just waiting to upload and do our CCR. We are kind of nervous but excited.

As seen in the last blog, you know that my team and I were unable to film. We were unable to film because Pedro didn't feel well so we just cancelled the entire day. Since we cancelled everything there wasn't much for us to do so we waiting until we got back to school. Today we were able to meet back up in class to talk about what we needed to do. In class we talked about why we cancelled since Pedro didn't tell me why and what we did during that day. Since we have a long period we took a break in between to do other things. Gente Research (Comedy)

     My group and I are also researching comedy. As much as we want action, we also need to laugh. A comedy would also be a lot easier for us since we can just be ourselves. Comedy movies have a lot of close- ups, pans, long shots, and zooms. Close ups allow you to lead your audience into a more intimate setting. You can literally bring your audience closer to the action. And it emphasizes the importance of what we see. But as the push continues, it all breaks, letting viewers know they're watching a comedy movie.Long shots  give an overall context to the scene and usually lets viewers know that what we’re seeing right now isn’t the whole picture... until it zooms all the way out. Static shots, or stand still shots, build suspense. In comedy movies it allows room for the characters to correct themselves or something, Almost like a "wait for it" moment. Research Blog for Music Video

My partner and I are making our music video on “Let Me Love you” by Mario. Usually in R&B songs like this one, the audience would see a storyline. The audience sees the conflict or whatever is happening in the story and the singer trying to get the main character's attention or singing to the main character, unless they are the main character.   In R&B videos, the singer, if it's a male, is usually seen wearing baggy jeans and baggy tee shirts. It's a casual outfit that was very popular in 2000's fashion. In R&B videos, the  women tend to wear basic 2000's fashion, jeans and crop tops, button ups, berets, off the shoulder shirts, and others, all paired with denim, since denim was so popular back then.   The lighting varies in videos, but it depends on the vibe and scenery of the video.
